The Powder Blue Tuxedo Boys

The Powder Blue Tuxedo Boys are sitting at their usual bar stools at the Frolic Room on a 90 degree sunny afternoon in Los Angeles.

Patrick: I’m tired of looking at all of this Cinco de Mayo Pancho Villa crap.

Timothy: Yeah. All these Mexicans ordering tequila and Modesto beer is kinda irritating.

Patrick: The Mariachi music is driving me nuts.

Timothy: Those damned accordions drive me insane. It’s like bad polka music. The only thing worse are those Scottish bagpipes.

Patrick: Let’s head down Hollywood Boulevard to Musso and Frank’s.

Timothy: But that’s expensive and Italian.

Patrick: Well, I’m half Italian and we made some extra dough on the last job.

Timothy: No way I’m walking down Hollywood Boulevard in this blue tuxedo. You know what happens.

Patrick: I told you to tape your ass shut. But anyway, I’ll call my cop friend and he’ll give us a ride.

The Powder Blue Tuxedo Boys walk out of the Frolic Room into the heat and sunshine of an LA afternoon. A cop car pulls up and the boys climb in the back seat.

Chico the Cop: And to what do I owe the pleasure of hauling your fat cummerbund powder blue asses around?

Patrick: Your countrymen at the Frolic Room didn’t like our Irish faces.

Chico: Who can blame them?

Timothy: We’d like to go to Musso and Frank’s.

Chico: So now you’re Mafia?

Patrick: We just want a quiet place without the damned Mariachi music.

Chico: Now you insult my culture. I should throw you out in the street.

Timothy: Chico, you have to admit that Mariachi music is just a Minnesota Polka Band on meth.

Chico laughs: You guys crack me up.

Chico takes the boys to the Musso and Frank Grill. The boys get out of the police car and walk into the restaurant.

Timothy: Yikes! Does this place use infrared lighting?

Patrick: Nah. The red wallpaper, carpets, and upholstery just cover up the blood.

The boys go up to the bar and order a couple Americano drinks.

Patrick: Best not to order a Negroni. It might be misinterpreted.
