Thank God I’m a Covid Boy
Well, life in quarantine kinda laid back
Ain’t much a Covid Boy like me can’t hack.
It’s stay at home, and don’t you roam.
Thank God I’m a Covid Boy!
Well, a simple kind of life never did me no harm
Just me and me old mammy and me grand marm,
Hope they both keep keep alive and warm.
Thank God I’m a Covid Boy!
Well, I got me a mask,
I got me my Purex.
At least I’m alone
and not living with the ex.
Life ain’t nothing but buying more Clorex
Thank God I’m a Covid Boy!
When I finish netflix and the sun is setting low
I go for a walk and travel wherever I go.
The kids are gone so who’s to know?
Thank God I’m a Covid Boy!
I’d drink beer all day if I could
But the liquor store’s closed
As the governor said it should
But my brain and liver don’t take it so good.
Thank God I’m a Covid Boy!

Thanks to John Denver for the song “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”.
I hear this at the grocery store the other day and couldn’t get it out
of my head. I knew I’d have to write a song with his song in mind
about this Covid-19 madness.
