It’s Been Two Years on Now 4/18/22

Masked Children

Two Years on Now, April 18th, 2022

It’s been two years on now
Since the world went insane
Lockdowns, injections
Masks on a plane

Kids out of school
Was the rule
Masks on the children
Even at the pool

Mandatory injections
Suspect elections
Virus gonna killya
Take the shot willya?

“You won’t wear a mask?
You won’t take the shot?
You obviously don’t know
What is or what’s not.

And don’t get too close.
Don’t shake hands.
Don’t go to church.
Don’t mess with our plans.”

So Fauci, Newsom says et. al.
So we see our liberties fall
Our families and friends
Are close, well it depends

“You won’t wear a mask?
You won’t take the shot?
You obviously don’t know
What is or what’s not.

And don’t get too close.
Don’t shake hands.
Don’t go to church.
Don’t mess with our plans.”

Well, fuck them all
Is what I say.
It’s living now
Just from day to day.

And when the judgment comes
Oh, how they will pay
For what they did to us
Over two years ago today.

  1. Yes, well done indeed.

Being a fellow CR member I was pierced to the heart by your recent description of “new normal” life for you and Mrs. TimmyTaes. If only we of like minds weren’t dispersed so thinly across the world but could actually reside in a lovely community and look out for each other.

    Keep writing.

      1. Oh I hope I didn’t come across worse than I intended. True, I got a good cry out of it but I really am okay… limping along like everybody else. I read almost daily the emotional and relational toll the last 2 years have taken on people everywhere, together with my own life, and it just saddens and angers me.
