It looks like yesterday was a miserable rainy day in NYC for the big parade. Still, people had a good time. The balloons were up, the bands marched, and the floats went by.

Some Pro-Palestinian protesters sat in the street. I bet their asses got wet. The parade marched around them. Spiderman floated over them. (Where did Spiderman go for the past 7 years? Good to see him back in the parade.)

Minnie Mouse is a new balloon. Mickey is home with the gout. The Bronx Zoo had a float in the parade for the first time. Don’t know if the animals on the float were real or robots. I can see the headline, “Anatomic Lion Escapes from Zoo Float in Parade. Terrorizes Central Park. Computer Hackers Blamed.”

Mrs. Claus looked like a Brazilian. Maybe Santa spends the winter in Rio on the beach.

Only one of the floats, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Turkey Float, is self-propelled. The rest are powered by elves pushing on the chassis under the floats. They demanded more pay this year.

The cleanup crews picked up the usual 65 tons of debris after the parade was over. There were more heroin needles this year. The heroin dealers are cutting prices to compete with Fentanyl.

The Powder Blue Tuxedo Boys were asked to emcee the parade but declined and stayed in warm and sunny Los Angeles. As usual, they watched the parade from their booth at the Frolic Room on Hollywood Boulevard.

Patrick: Look at that cold, rainy weather. We’d have caught pneumonia if we went there.

Timothy: Well, I caught something last year, and it was sunny.

Patrick: I told you to stay away from the Majorettes in the bands.

Timothy: She told me…

Patrick: Oh, I know what she told you.

Eddie: Look! The Spiderman balloon is back! He was always my favorite growing up.

Patrick: Eddie, you never grew up.

Timothy: I’ll drink to that. Another round of Beck’s please, Eddie.
